The Mexican band Pedro y el Lobo recently surprised its followers with a pop punk version of the iconic song "A Bunch of Stars" by Polo Montañez, giving it a contemporary touch.

"How would this song sound if it were pop punk?", the artists asked in a reel posted on Facebook, then sharing their version of one of the most well-known themes of the beloved "Cuban country man".

Several followers of the artists celebrated that the band Pedro y el Lobo covered a theme that is very popular among Cubans.

Ban Richards said: "Bros, I'm Cuban and I have to tell you that you guys do very good work and you are very talented".

"I loved it, I'm Cuban and I've known that song since I was little, grateful that it's known in another genre that I also like," pointed out Heidi Rubio.

Jorge Figueredo expressed his feelings by saying: "As a Cuban I feel proud of Polo, you guys nailed it, a different touch".

It is not the first time that the great Cuban artist Polo Montañez has received the homage of other singers.

In January, El Taiger premiered a song dedicated to the Natural Country Man.

Precisely "Guajiros" is the title of this song which is a collaboration with two young artists, Rauw and Yordanito.

In 2022, Cuban singer Leoni Torres celebrated that his album Canten, a tribute to Polo Montañez, appeared on the list of nominees for the Latin Grammy 2022.

The artist thanked the "Natural Country Man" for the inspiration and his "such beautiful songs" and assured that this nomination is a dream come true: "Polo deserves this recognition".
