Renowned Cuban troubadour Eduardo Sosa suffered a severe stroke during his stay in the eastern province of Guantánamo, reported today Marta Bonet, president of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (Uneac).
In that territory, Sosa was participating in activities of the cultural project Cruzada Teatral and as vice president of Uneac in the debates and analysis of the agreements from its recent X Congress.
According to Bonet, the artist remains in Intensive Care and the prognosis is guarded, following the surgical intervention to which he was subjected.
Uneac in Guantánamo noted that the coming hours will be decisive and they will have to wait for his body's response, following surgery that accomplished its objective.
On social networks, there are abundant comments of encouragement and solidarity from artists, intellectuals, friends and admirers of the popular singer-songwriter, 52 years old, born in Santiago de Cuba.
