Tribute by American musical band to Frank Fernández

Metro Big Band, an American group directed by Camp Kirkland, will pay homage to maestro Frank Fernández on March 3rd through a concert at the José White Concert Hall in the city of Matanzas.

The concert will serve as a tribute from the North American band to the 80 years of life and 65 years of artistic career of Fernández, an outstanding Cuban pianist and composer.

According to Rafael Somavilla, communicator for the Music and Entertainment Marketing Company, Frank greatly appreciates Matanzas and especially the Hall, so the opportunity to honor him in the territory becomes a joy and at the same time a great satisfaction.

Metro Big Band is a jazz band with a body of work that transcends the United States with great acceptance and performances throughout the years in Europe and Latin America.
