Third save game for Liván Moinelo in the 2023 Japanese Baseball League season

Cuban Liván Moinelo earned his third save in the 2023 Professional Japanese Baseball League.

The left-handed pitcher from Pinar del Río threw two-thirds of a perfect inning in relief in the 4-0 victory of the SoftBank Hawks over the DeNA Stars, at the Pay Pay Dome in Fukuoka.

Moinelo has accumulated 12 consecutive appearances with at least one strikeout and improved his ERA to 0.92 and his total strikeouts to 26.

His team is in second place in the Pacific League with 28 wins, 21 losses and two ties, just one game behind the league-leading Orix Buffaloes.

In interleague games, Softbank and Orix are getting the better results with a 5-3 record.
