After a decade without recording new material in studios, Argentine composer and musician León Gieco presented his new album "El Hombrecito del Mar".

This long-awaited record is the result of a prolonged and intense process of composition, recording and production by Gieco and musician and producer Luis Gurevich.

"El Hombrecito del Mar" featured the participation of outstanding guest artists, a genuine international collective including Gustavo Santaolalla, Lila Downs, Emma Shapplin, Carlos Nuñez, Silvio Rodríguez, Sergio Arau, Jaime Lopez, Sara Correia, Agarrate Catalina and Roger Waters, among others.

In addition to these renowned talents, Gieco had the support of a supergroup made up of exceptional musicians such as Vinnie Colaiuta (Sting, Jeff Beck) on drums, Leland Sklar (James Taylor, Phil Collins) on bass, Dean Parks (Steely Dan, Michel Bublé, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson) on guitars, Luis Conte (Madonna, Clapton) on percussion, Jerry Douglas (Eric Clapton, Paul Simon, Elvis Costello) on dobro, Michael Thompson (Elton John, Rod Stewart), Gustavo Borner and Luis Gurevich on keyboards.

"El hombrecito del mar" contains 13 songs, all composed by León Gieco and Luis Gurevich, with the exception of the covers of "Sueño con serpientes" (Silvio Rodríguez), "Estuche" (Alicia Scherman, Leon Gieco and Luis Gurevich) and "Gira, gira, girasol" (Víctor Jara). It was recorded in studios in Argentina, the United States and various cities around the world from where special participations arrived during the pandemic.
