Silvio Rodríguez announces upcoming tour of five Latin American countries

The iconic Cuban singer-songwriter Silvio Rodríguez, one of the most representative voices of Nueva Trova, announced a new tour that will take him to five Latin American countries.

The announcement was made by the artist himself through a video published on his official Instagram account on Thursday afternoon.

"Dear friends, I am Silvio Rodríguez, and this small gathering is to announce an upcoming tour through Latin America. Five countries, and it will be between late September and early November of this 2025," the musician said in the video.

He also confirmed that Chile will be the first destination of this highly anticipated tour, followed by Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, and Colombia.

Rodríguez has not yet provided specific details about the dates of his shows or the venues where he will perform in the country, but it is expected that this information, along with ticket sales, will be announced in the coming days by Red Eyes Concerts, the national production company that shared the audiovisual material.

"We are very excited about the idea. I hope you are too," expressed the troubadour, who maintains a strong connection with the Chilean public since the years of the Popular Unity.

His music, filled with lyricism and political commitment, was an essential part of the cultural resistance repertoire during the dictatorship in Chile.

Recall that his last visit to the country was in 2018, when he offered a series of concerts that included performances at the Movistar Arena, the Quinta Vergara in Viña del Mar, and the Ester Roa stadium in Concepción.

That tour was greatly celebrated by his national followers, many of whom have patiently awaited his return.

With this new tour, Silvio Rodríguez not only reaffirms his closeness to Chile, but also celebrates more than five decades of artistic career, establishing himself as one of the most influential singer-songwriters in the Spanish-speaking world.
