Roberto Rodríguez Morales to be editor of U.S. scientific journal

The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics announced its decision to appoint Doctor of Science Roberto Rodríguez Morales, director of the Institute of Cybernetics, Mathematics and Physics (Icimaf) of Cuba, as its editor in the United States.

For me it is an honor to have been selected editor of that prestigious American publication, responded Rodríguez Morales to the initiative, through the issuance of his accreditation certificate made public in English, specialists from his institution informed the Cuban News Agency.

The Cuban expert is leader of the Image Processing group at his center, has a long and distinguished career as a researcher, with extensive experience and excellent scientific results in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning and Digital Image Segmentation, among others.

His works have received on multiple occasions the Award for Outstanding Scientific-Technical Results from the Agency for Nuclear Energy and Advanced Technologies, and he obtained the Annual Award of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba in 2009 and 2021, and the Order Carlos J. Finlay in 2013.

Under his direction, the center's team has managed to maintain its leadership in the country in the established research, in the training of human resources, the provision of scientific-technical services and the organization of scientific events.
