Cuban actor Roberto Perdomo Suárez received a $1,531 donation collected by 63 people during an appearance on the podcast Todos hablan on the digital channel Cubamastv, according to reports by Periódico Cubano and Cuba Noticias 360 in early September 2026.
The drive, organized by actress and channel director Amarilis Núñez after an earlier interview in which Perdomo described living on a monthly pension of about 6,000 Cuban pesos, was delivered on camera along with the list of contributors. Best known for more than thirteen years as Lieutenant Colonel Fernando on the police series Tras la Huella, the actor thanked supporters who, in many cases, had never met him in person.
Beyond the financial help, Perdomo was offered a guest role on La Cafetera, a new Cubamastv comedy series planned as 20 short sketch episodes, with a regular cast that includes Rigoberto Ferrera, Ángel Ramis, Ladies Díaz and Núñez herself.
Trained at Cuba's Higher Institute of Art and with a long career in theater, film and television, Perdomo has publicly linked hopes of traveling to Spain with reuniting with relatives and meeting his grandson. The Cubamastv episode drew tens of thousands of views on YouTube.
