Cuban boxer Robeisy "El Tren" Ramírez, double Olympic champion and former WBO featherweight world champion, is embarking on a new chapter in his professional career after signing a promotional deal with RAIZN Boxing (also identified as Raizd Boxing). The company confirmed the agreement publicly this week on social media with the announcement: "Official: Robeisy 'El Tren' Ramirez signs with RAIZD BOXING."

The signing comes after a period of free agency during which no major boxing promoters made public offers for the Cienfuegos-born fighter. Ramírez had parted ways with Top Rank in early 2026, following his title loss to Mexican Rafael "El Divino" Espinoza in December 2023.

Alongside the change of promoter, Ramírez also announced a new training setup: his camp is now based in Moreno Valley, California, under the guidance of renowned trainer Robert Garcia. Robeisy himself summed up the moment with a pointed phrase: "New Trainer. New Chapter. Same Hunger."

His ring return is scheduled for May 29, 2026 at the Humo Arena in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where he will face Uzbek fighter Asror Vokhidov. The event is organized with participation from WBC Eurasia, the Uzbekistan Professional Boxing Federation, and Lift Promotion. The bout will be contested for a regional title that will place Ramírez in the featherweight rankings, with his team believing a world title shot is within reach in three fights.

Ramírez, born December 20, 1993, in Cienfuegos, Cuba, has been out of the ring for over a year and three months — time he described as well spent with his family. The southpaw carries a professional record of 13-2 with 8 knockouts, capping an outstanding amateur career that includes Olympic gold medals at London 2012 and Rio 2016, as well as the 2011 Pan American Games title.

The May 29 bout marks his first appearance under the RAIZN Boxing banner, and his first opportunity to show that the fire has not faded during his time away from the ring.
