Basketball player Javier Jústiz renews his contract with Zaragoza team

The Cuban Javier Jústiz renewed his contract today with the Casademont Zaragoza club for three more seasons and maintains his place in Spain's top basketball competition.

According to the club's website, Justiz will face his third campaign on the bench of the so-called red tide and his incorporation into the team's dynamics is expected once recovered from the injury that prevented him from playing in the entirety of last tournament.

After acclaimed performances in Argentine basketball, the pivot made his European debut with Zaragoza in the 2018-2019 season, and in 39 games in the Liga Endesa he averaged 6.9 points and four rebounds.

The international with the Cuban national team since 2014 improved his performances on the court in the past Spanish clubs tournament and in just 16 games he registered 18 minutes average, with 7.9 points and 3.3 rebounds.

For the first time, the giant from the largest island in the Caribbean participated in the Basketball Champions League and registered 8.5 points and 6.6 rebounds in the 18 minutes average played, with his best performances in the two clashes against Neptunas.

A native of Santiago de Cuba, Justiz began his work in foreign leagues with the Bucaneros de la Guaira, from Venezuela, in 2015, and later starred in successful campaigns in Argentina with Estudiantes de Concordia and San Lorenzo de Almagro, with whom he won the Liga Nacional and the Championship of the Americas.
