Thirty years after the expedition "By canoe from the Amazon to the Caribbean," on Thursday, June 28, at 11:00 in the morning, Cuba time, its arrival at the bay of La Habana will be symbolically reenacted, where it received a massive welcome.
The Antonio Núñez Jiménez Foundation confirmed that there will be a nautical parade that day, as motorboats and sailboats will accompany the entry of one of the original canoes from that journey that began in Ecuador.
In the Luz y Caballero park there will be a science festival and a fair of responsible products and services; in the Palacio del Segundo Cabo 3-D audiovisuals will be exhibited and on Avenida del Puerto sculptures by various artists will be displayed.
As a closing event, in the plaza San Francisco de Asís, Kelvis Ochoa and David Torrens will sing songs by Silvio Rodríguez and Pablo Milanés, together with José María Vitier and Aldo López Gavilán.
