Fernando Rodríguez Sosa Received Master of Radio Broadcasters Distinction

Fernando Rodríguez Sosa, journalist, literary critic and cultural promoter, today received the distinction Master of Radio Broadcasters, for his example, dedication and pedagogical commitment in the training of new generations of Cuban radio professionals, reported the Cuban Book Institute (ICL).

The recognition, which is awarded by Cuban Radio, was presented this Thursday at the Fayad Jamís Bookstore, on the occasion of a tribute to Rodríguez Sosa by the ICL, marking his half century of work as a cultural promoter.

The Children's and Youth Literature Section of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba also granted him the recognition The White Rose, for his promotion of literature created in the country for those who, in the words of Cuban National Hero José Martí, are the hope of the world, children.

Rodríguez Sosa (Havana, 1952) has maintained throughout five decades various spaces for literary promotion and criticism on radio, television, the written press and Cuban digital media, the ICL acknowledged in a press release.

Among other recognitions, he has received the National Prize for Cultural Journalism José Antonio Fernández Castro, the National Prize Promoters of Reading Raúl Ferrer, the Distinction For National Culture and the 95th and 100th Anniversary Seals of Cuban Radio.
