Intellectual Graziella Pogolotti received on November 26 the status of Honorary Citizen of Giaveno, a city in the Italian region of Piedmont.
According to a report from the Cuban News Agency, José Carlos Rodríguez, ambassador of the largest of the Antilles to Italy, San Marino and Malta, highlighted that with the parchment delivered, she is also recognized as a pillar of cultural ties between the two countries.
The document notes that Pogolotti, member of the Editorial Board of Cuban magazines and newspapers, has published numerous critical reviews on literature and plastic arts.
"Protagonist of education, cultural and social commitment in Cuba has directed particular attention to the teacher training of young generations," said the diplomat, who added that this recognition highlights the journalistic activity and criticism carried out by Pogolotti.
