After several weeks without appearing on the small screen, the face of journalist Lázaro Manuel Alonso reappeared last night on the program Palabra Precisa.

Although his friend and colleague Magdiel Pérez had announced on his Facebook wall Lázaro Manuel's return to work, his presence on TV only became evident on the night of February 25, which constitutes an absence of more than two months.

The journalist's absence was notable because throughout the entire pandemic period his presence in the media was habitual both on Buenos Días and in the different newscasts, a program of which he was the director.

His presence was also frequent in programs related to COVID such as the Morning Press Conference and the weekly summary.

Lázaro Manuel tested positive for COVID in September 2021 and returned two or three weeks later to his usual work. Social networks became alarmed when at the beginning of the year he stopped appearing on screen and even his name was removed as director of the news system.

There were multiple comments about whether he was censored, whether he was exiled, but the fact is that in mid-January it was posted on his Facebook that the journalist was admitted to a hospital for an illness.

On February 15, Magdiel announced Lázaro Manuel's return and there were hundreds of congratulatory and recovery messages that the journalist received, but the cause of his hospitalization has never been mentioned.

Only pain has been mentioned and it was disclosed that the admission had been at the Institute of Tropical Medicine "Pedro Kourí".

The fact is that last night Lázaro Manuel Alonso reappeared on the program Palabra Precisa reporting his return to work and thanking all those who were concerned about his health, the doctors and nurses who treated him, and the colleagues who substituted for him as hosts of the program.
