Lester Hamlet, one of the most recognized film and television directors in Cuba, informed on his Facebook wall that he tested positive for coronavirus and is admitted to the Pedro Kourí Tropical Medicine Institute (IPK) in Havana, one of the country's medical centers designated for the care of COVID-19 patients.
"Positive for COVID. Already admitted to the IPK. I'm safe here. In a few days I'll be back. Strength, peace and focus on the future," he wrote on his Facebook wall, in a post in which he showed optimism regarding his recovery.
Lester is one of the 314 new coronavirus cases detected last Wednesday, and which were announced on Thursday at a press conference by Dr. Francisco Durán, national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
We hope for the speedy recovery of this director who is currently working on a telenovela for Cuban TV.
