The right-handed pitcher Raidel Martínez achieved his ninth save of the 2020 professional baseball season in Japan on Friday after covering a perfect inning at Tokyo Dome, and displays an ERA of 0.82 in 22 appearances.

The Pinar del Río native bolstered in that way the victory of the Chunichi Dragons over the Yomiuri Giants, with a score of 5 to 3, with which they remain in fourth place in the Central League, thanks to 27 wins, 30 losses and four ties.

In 22 appearances, the young pitcher from Pinar del Río has allowed 12 hits and only two earned runs.

His number of saves places him in second place in the Central League, behind Robert Suárez, of the Hanshin Tigers, who has accumulated ten.

Meanwhile, at the Pay Pay Dome in Fukuoka, Yurisbel Gracial hit a double in four at-bats, scored one run and drove in another in the 9 to 1 victory of the SoftBank Hawks over the Nippon Ham Fighters.

According to beisboljapones.com, Gracial is now batting .333. The other Cubans signed by that club did not play.

The Hawks, current champions of the Japan Series, dominate the Pacific League with 35 wins, 23 losses and two ties. They are followed by the Lotte Marines, with a record of 33-25-2.
