The Rutas y Andares en Cuba project reveals passages from the work left by the renowned Havana historian, Eusebio Leal, who led the process of heritage recovery in the city.
The initiative that, for the second consecutive year, designed its online edition due to the pandemic affecting the capital, distinguishes the multifaceted work of the Doctor in Historical Sciences and socializes the hashtags #LealDiplomatico, #LealArqueologo #LealEcologista and #LealGestorCultural.
With the motto Walk Havana. Following the route of Eusebio Leal, the proposal brings closer the talents of its founder and emphasizes his "faculty for understanding artistic creation with the sensitivity of an artist and the sharp judgment of an art critic".
It also highlights the multiple occasions when Leal wrote words for exhibition catalogs, articles for newspapers or magazines dedicated to different creators, and on other occasions his oratory presided over the opening of the exhibitions.
Until August 29, the summer program sponsored by the Office of the Historian of Havana that brings Cuban families together every summer maintains a strong presence on digital networks where its audiences will access different workshops and contests.
Other museums attached to the Cuban entity offer virtual tours of their pieces, collections and history with emphasis on the Sugar Route, Route through dishware collections, Ethnographic Route and the Arms Route.
Likewise, its organizers plan an in-person edition during the month of August, whose realization will depend on the improvement of the health crisis caused by COVID-19 in the Cuban capital.
