First prize in the 5th international Beavers animated cartoons competition of laughter for Ares

A good streak of awards has come to Cuban cartooning this week that is ending.

Our friend, partner and colleague, doctor Arístides Hernández Guerrero (ARES) with this work titled Silencio achieved first prize in the 5th international animation competition Beavers of laughter, organized by the community of the town of Bobritsa, Ukraine. In the same competition, colleague Ricardo Bermúdez obtained an honorable mention.

Our recognition is extended to Miguel Morales Madrigal (Migue), whose cartoon, School Elections was the winner after an internet vote count in the GEM Report Unesco 2021 (Global Education Monitoring Report) contest, in coordination with the Cartoon Movement cartooning site.

Following this information, we received the news that Brady, Charli and Javier also "got prizes" in a competition in the Italian city of Trento. Congratulations to all!
