Principal Dancer Dani Hernández Appointed as New Director of the National Ballet School

A post on X reports that Dani Hernández (Remedios, Villa Clara, 1989) was presented Wednesday afternoon at the educational institution as its new director.

"Appointed new Director of the National Ballet School. On Wednesday afternoon, Principal Dancer of the National Ballet of Cuba Dani Hernández was presented at the National Ballet School as Director of this educational institution".

Present at the ceremony for the transfer of the new responsibility were Viengsay Valdés, director of the National Ballet of Cuba; Ariadna Padrón García, general director of Training and Development of the Ministry of Culture, and Elizabeth Castro Rodríguez, director of the National Center for Schools of Art, published La Jiribilla on Facebook.

According to the report, the Principal Dancer, considered among the leading figures of Ballet worldwide, was trained under the guidance of Fernando Alonso, Ramona de Saá, Mirta Hermida, among other important teachers.

His technical stylistic rigor and his performance as a teacher will allow him to work toward the continuity of the tradition of the Cuban School of Ballet, the publication assured.
