The popular group Maykel Blanco y su Salsa Mayor premiered on its MB Record Oficial YouTube channel and social networks, the video clip Pa los Mayores y los Van Van.

The orchestra, represented by Musicalia Agency of Artex, brings this theme composed by Maykel Blanco, which is part of its latest record production licensed for Cuba by the Unicornio Label of Abdala Productions in which the Van Van orchestra and Salsa Mayor unite for the first time, according to the press release.

With the hashtag #PaLosMayoresYLosVanVan, it has created expectations on social networks and according to Samuel Formell, director of Van Van and Maykel himself, it will be a gift for the dancing public this end of year.

Maykel Blanco y su Salsa Mayor mixes several styles such as rumba, jazz, salsa and Afro-Cuban music, giving rise to one of the best-known bands of current Cuban music.

Likewise, the orchestra has become one of the main representatives of the music of this island in different countries, mainly in Europe.

It has received recognitions such as the award for Best Cuban Popular Music Group, in the years 2006 and 2007, in Italy, and was also awarded the prize for best live concert in Paris, France.

Maykel Blanco, director of the group, has also presided over the Salsa Festival for five years, and regarding the sixth edition of the dancers and salsa enthusiasts gathering, he has shared that although this year was atypical, so far it is expected to hold the event from February 24 to 28, 2021.
