Dedicated to writer and screenwriter Alberto Luberta, the book Quien bien te quiere, by Caridad Martínez, was presented at the usual Saturday of Books space.
Guillermo Pavón Pacheco, vice president of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT), recounted stories related to Luberta and affirmed that "his fruitful career in radio has undoubtedly left future generations one of the most valued careers in this medium. Having entered the sector at the early age of fifteen, he has left us an extraordinary trajectory of professional practice as an intellectual," the newspaper Juventud Rebelde indicated.
Caridad Martínez added that "in the Cuban radio sector humor practically did not exist. The only exception in this regard was Alegrías de Sobremesa, broadcast by Radio Progreso. In 2015 the idea arose to take the scripts of this program written by Luberta to create the facsimile, but it never came to fruition."
For his part, Jorge Alberto Piñero (JAPE), revealed that "the idea of reviving the book project came from the Humor Promotion Center," while he explained Luberta's impact on Cuban radio and humor.
Luberta was born on September 27, 1931 in the Pogolotti neighborhood, in Marianao, and died on January 23, 2017.
During his extensive career he created different works for radio of great impact, but his work on the humorous-musical program Alegrías de Sobremesa, which he produced for more than 55 years, was what installed him forever in the memory of Cubans of different generations.
