The Book Germán Pinelli, Remembering Him is an Honor is Presented

The book Germán Pinelli, Remembering Him is an Honor, by researcher, radio broadcaster, entertainer and program and show director Ángel Manuel Pérez Álvarez, was presented on January 28 in the Che Guevara Hall, of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT), in the capital.

A student of the renowned broadcaster since the project "…among entertainers", the author himself revealed to the press that this volume, whose printing was carried out by the Editorial En Vivo, belonging to the ICRT, is part of a trilogy (Pinelli Speaks, and Living, Only Living, the latter in co-authorship with Flor Nodal, also a student of Pinelli), and that they will soon be published.

According to the city writer and singer-songwriter, in approximately 245 pages the diverse stages of the popular Cuban broadcaster are collected, woven together through the interviews he granted, which is why his voice resonates loudest in the book.

Also appearing are 81 testimonies obtained from 2014 to date, from multiple personalities of culture who coincided with the entertainer.

Pérez Álvarez also revealed that the book Germán Pinelli, Remembering Him is an Honor will also be presented on February 2 at 3:00 in the afternoon in the Fayad Jamís room, in the Historic Center of the city.

Born in Havana on February 5, 1962, the writer is also an avid researcher of the life and works of great exponents of Cuban culture.

He has published several books, among them, Greetings Friends, dedicated to Eva Rodríguez, If an Ending for Clara and Mario, and The Best White Sonero, in homage to Roberto Faz. In the process of being edited, Pinelli Speaks by the Unión publishing house, and soon I Knew La Fornés will come out, made in co-authorship with Rosalía Arnáez.

Pérez Álvarez, who is also a composer, has been working as a broadcaster for 39 years and has directed shows at the Teatro América, in this capital, has performed in nations such as Bolivia, Colombia, Peru and the United States, where he has participated in activities and events as a broadcaster, singer and show director.

He is also a member of the UNEAC and the Association of Cinema, Radio and Television, and currently works as a broadcaster for the C.O.C.O station and is part of the catalog of the ACTUAR Agency as an entertainer and show director.
