Amaury Pérez Vidal has always loved music and since he chose this profession, he has given his heart and soul to every lyric, chord and melody. More than 50 years in which art has been a way of life: 35 albums and 302 recorded songs attest to this dedication.
Thanks to the Bis Music label, "Almost Everything Amaury" comes to light, a compilation collection in six albums and 96 songs. At the Museum of Fine Arts, the phonographic product was officially presented, where Amaury was surrounded by friends and personalities from Cuban culture.
At the presentation, José Manuel García, producer of Bis Music, assured that the compilation is a discographic jewel that gathers the work of Amaury's entire life. Furthermore, it has sentimental value because they are songs that have marked the lives of most Cubans. "It also summarizes the history of the Areíto Studios of Egrem and of the record labels Music, Colibrí and Abdala".
"I never imagined how difficult it would be to choose 96 songs from 302 songs I have recorded. I had to listen to my entire repertoire and I had a lot of work due to the restrictions brought by the pandemic and the difference in the years of the original songs (from the 70's until after 2010). We set to work and there is nothing like hearing so many of your own songs in a row. It's absolute torture," Amaury assured at his presentation.
Some of the songs are enriched with the voices of Beatriz Márquez, Laritza Bacallao, Luna Manzanares, Buena Fe, Silvio Rodríguez, Omara Portuondo, Alexander Abreu, Mauricio Rodríguez, Miriam Ramos, Liuba María Hevia, Emilio Frías "El Niño".
All the songs in the compilation are from the lyrics and authorship of the artist himself and the photos of his wife and life companion Peti González taken in Mexico City, Rome, Madrid, Seattle, Querétaro, Chapala, Arlington and Hong Kong. The production for Bis Music was handled by José Manuel García Suárez; the mastering by Orestes Águila and the design by Juan Carlos Viera.
