The artist and entrepreneur Pitbull will be the master of ceremonies for the 2020 edition of Premios Lo Nuestro (PLN), the only exclusive awards for Latin artists in the United States.
"This year's PLN will start 2020 with a clear vision," Pitbull told Entertainment Weekly magazine.
"It is the first awards ceremony for Latin artists across all genres and there is no better place to celebrate it than in Miami," he added.
The urban artist and entrepreneur indicated that he will take the opportunity to promote Latino pride and provide tools for young people to get ahead in the United States.
"They have always been important to keep music alive by encouraging new generations of artists," he added. "Today more than ever we must encourage our students and young people to express their feelings through art and music," he said.
Although Pitbull has never hosted the PLN before, the artist has won seven of the eight awards he has been nominated for since 2011.
The nominations for Premios Lo Nuestro 2020 were announced yesterday and Daddy Yankee with 12, Reik and Sebastián Yatra with 10, and Bad Bunny and J Balvin with 9, lead the nominations for the 32nd edition of Premios Lo Nuestro.
Pitbull released last September alongside veteran Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Tito "El Bambino" the single "Imagínate," which also features the collaboration of Dominican artist El Alfa.
The song will be part of Tito's next solo album and showcases "the flavor" of Latin American culture "so that the audience from all corners can enjoy it from beginning to end," according to a statement from his record label.
The music video for the song was also released, which is "filled with joy, beautiful landscapes and lots of energy" in La Romana, Dominican Republic.
This new song by Tito "El Bambino" follows his successful single, "Pega Pega".
