Film Father of the Bride with Gloria Estefan and Andy García Premieres on June 16

The film Father of the Bride will arrive on screens this June 16 on HBO Max. In the movie, Cuban-American actors Gloria Estefan and Andy García stand out, playing the parents of actress Adria Arjona.

The daughter of the Guatemalan singer stars alongside Mexican Diego Boneta in the third version of the Father of the Bride story, which personalities like Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor made famous in the fifties, while Steve Martin and Diane Keaton did the same in the nineties.

The story, filmed in English and set in the United States, will expose not only the disagreements that two families face when preparing a wedding, but also the cultural clash that results from the members of each of the families being Mexican and Cuban.

At a press conference, Adria expressed that family love transcended the screen. The actress assured that finishing filming this movie was one of the most difficult of her career because of the affection and bonds that were created among everyone.

"I remember the last day of shooting and I had never cried so much in my life. Whenever you finish a project you want to leave first and rest, (but now) I wanted to stay on set, I didn't want to leave because we bonded so much that it was sad to say 'the movie is over and I won't be able to have breakfast with you tomorrow,' that made me very sad," Adria confessed.

For her part, Gloria Estefan has been sharing moments from the filming of the movie on her social media. "On June 2, 2021, an incredible new journey began full of emotions, laughter, love and friendship. I'm going to share some of those moments with you in advance of the release of this beautiful experience," the singer wrote on her Instagram account.

Father of the Bride will be a family comedy and fun, which will also update some romantic scenes between the bride and groom. Beyond these details, it is safe to say that the film left several beautiful memories beyond the set, or at least that's what its four star actors agree on.
