Cuban singer-songwriter Pedro Luis Ferrer marked his 74th birthday with a September 19, 2026, concert at Miami’s Tower Road Ranch, where he unveiled his album La Bunga alongside his daughter, singer-songwriter Lena Ferrer, according to Diario Las Américas and 14ymedio. Born September 17, 1952, in Yaguajay, the troubadour drew Cuban diaspora audiences in South Florida.

La Bunga, released August 28 on U.S. label Dot Time Records, gathers 14 compositions spanning son, trova, guaracha, changüí and sucu sucu. Ferrer, a composer, guitarist, tres player and poet, began his professional career in 1973 and wrote songs such as Mariposa and Inspiración. Lena Ferrer, his longtime collaborator, adds vocals, percussion and marímbula to the father-daughter duo that has performed in Cuba, the United States and Europe.
