Paquito D'Rivera will perform in September for the first time in Ciudad Real

Cuban musician Paquito D'Rivera will perform on Wednesday, September 26 at the Teatro Municipal Quijano, where he will offer a concert that will commemorate his 70th anniversary and the centennial of the birth of Bebo Valdés with a repertoire ranging from classical to popular music. Winner of 14 Grammys and one of the most brilliant musicians in the history of jazz, Paquito D'Rivera makes his first appearance in Ciudad Real with Veleta Roja.

The musical journey that D'Rivera will propose, accompanied by an unprecedented quintet, will include the version of the 'Adagio' from Mozart's clarinet concerto and the 'Suite on themes by Lecuona', as well as versions of 'Brussels in the rain' and 'Con Chucho corriente abajo' by Veleta Roja, in addition to 'Pa`Bebo' by Pepe Rivero.

The concert will feature Paquito D'Rivera on clarinet and saxophones, Carlos Cano on flutes, Hernán Milla on piano, Iván Ruiz on double bass, Yuvisney Aguilar on percussion, and Georvis Pico on drums.
