BBC Mundo has compiled a list with the help of its readers, where a survey was conducted asking which song they would take to a deserted island, the one that would always be with them until their last memories
After receiving more than 1,500 suggestions, the team publishes the 50 songs that were repeated most often. These are the 50 iconic songs that can, in the judgment of our audiences, create that relationship between memory and music.
The first on this list was Bohemian Rhapsody from 1975, performed by the British group Queen.
The songs by Cuban authors that are part of this select collection are:
Para Vivir in place 8, by Pablo Milanés composed in 1982, Ojalá in place 19 by Silvio Rodríguez composed in 1978, La Vida es un Carnaval is number 23 and composed by Celia Cruz and finally Chan Chan by Buena Vista Social Club in the year 2000.
