Actor Aramís Delgado has been recognized with the National Theater Prize 2023, according to the decision of a jury that met in Camagüey, the city hosting the central events for Cuban Theater Day. Aramis receives this prize at 81 years of age, recognizing a significant trajectory in Cuban theater. He is an actor who has been part of renowned Cuban theater groups.
More than fifty institutions submitted proposals, among which Raquel Carrió, Juan González Fife, and Míriam Muñoz were also nominated.
The National Theater Prize Gerardo Fulleda León, a jury member, highlighted Delgado's excellent work, his sensitivity and charisma.
Camagüey is hosting these days the Theater City Event, a scenic gathering that brings together artists and companies in a program that replaces the National Theater Festival.
