One of the initiatives in times of coronavirus pandemic has been to "stay at home" to prevent contagion, and for this reason several artists have offered presentations from the Internet.

The presence of coronavirus in Cuba also motivated Omara Portuondo and Orquesta Failde to hold a mini concert today, Saturday, March 21st at 3 in the afternoon.

Omara Portuondo and Orquesta Failde joined the initiative to offer concerts over the Internet with the objective of "transmitting some encouragement and disseminating useful messages in the midst of this pandemic," according to the Cubadebate portal in charge of spreading the news.

The presentation took place at the home of the Cuban singer, who is founder of the Buena Vista Social Club, and was broadcast through Facebook.

For its part, Orquesta Failde will go to radio stations to offer live concerts taking into account the limited Internet access that currently exists on the Island.

Such is the case that on Sunday the 22nd at 3 pm from the Radio 26 studio in Matanzas and within the Disco Atenas time slot, the first of those concerts will take place and will be broadcast on the usual frequencies of the territorial station (97.3 fm and 104.3 am). Subsequently the concert will be posted on the official Facebook profile of the popular Cuban orchestra.
