Omara Portuondo in concert with Gaby Moreno in Guatemala

Omara Portuondo will be in concert with singer-songwriter Gaby Moreno on May 13th at The Westin Camino Real Hotel in Guatemala.

"My infinite gratitude to Gaby Moreno for inviting me to share a space in her concert in Guatemala, my first time performing in that beautiful country," posted on her Facebook profile "the diva of Buena Vista Social Club."

For her part, Gaby Moreno shared on Instagram her joy about the performance in her homeland and about sharing the stage with Omara. "Guate, we'll see you on May 13th with a mega lineup of guests," Moreno stated.

The Mexican musician and composer Leonel García, member of the popular duo Sin Bandera, will also join the concert.

Almost a year ago, Gaby Moreno and Omara Portuondo released "Bolero a la Vida," the second single from the Cuban singer's album, of which the Guatemalan was also a producer.

"A few years ago I met Omara when I had the fortune of being a special guest of 'Buena Vista Social Club' in two concerts in France. I was fascinated with Omara not only for the strength of her voice and her charisma on stage but for her great generosity in inviting me to perform a song together," the Guatemalan singer-songwriter posted back then on her social media profiles.

According to Gaby Moreno, that was the second production she worked on for Omara. However, having collaborated on and produced "Bolero a la Vida" and other tracks from the Cuban singer's new album is a dream come true.
