Cuban singer Omara Portuondo announced that the release of the tribute album for the 25th anniversary of Buena Vista Social Club will be tomorrow, September 17th.

From her Facebook social media profile, the artist confirmed that the phonogram will feature songs 'never before released from those original 1996 sessions and plenty of graphic material' from the group's history.

Portuondo, who a few weeks ago proudly celebrated the distinction of Cuban bolero as Intangible Heritage of the nation, shared the link where the official album launch will take place.

Users can access through the site https://worldcircuit.lnk.to the various platforms that include YouTube, Spotify, Amazon, Apple and Deezer where the recordings will be available.

The so-called Novia del Feeling was part of the renowned Cuban ensemble that, under the name Buena Vista Social Club, brought together consecrated performers such as Eliades Ochoa, Ibrahim Ferrer, Compay Segundo, among others.

In their voices, songs like Chan Chan, El cuarto de Tula, Dos gardenias, Veinte años and Lágrimas negras became popular, traveling the world championing bolero, son, guajira, salsa and traditional Cuban music.

The successful concert of the group in Amsterdam in 1998 inspired the cinematographic work of German filmmaker Win Wenders that earned an Oscar nomination and received good reviews from specialists.

Although many of its founding members have already passed away, some musicians remain active and collaborate in works that recall the enigmatic themes of the legendary musical troupe that exalted the so-called Golden Age of Cuban music.
