Cuban Actor Jorge Losada Moreno Dies in Havana

Cuban actor Jorge Losada Moreno passed away in Havana in the early morning of this Sunday, April 5, 2026, according to a report from the National Council of Performing Arts.

The note released by Granma recalls that Losada had a long career in radio, theater, television, and film, and that he was a highly recognized figure in the Cuban performing arts scene for several decades.

Among his theatrical works are titles such as La verdad sospechosa, Las preciosas ridículas, and Llévame a la pelota. He also had a notable presence at the Musical Theater of Havana, where he participated in works such as Maestra Vida, Pedro Navaja, El Decamerón, Don Quijote de La Rampa, and El Caballero de Pogolotti.

On television, he was part of shows and productions remembered by several generations, including Los domingos no están contados, Los abuelos se rebelan, Los papaloteros, SOS Divorcio, Día y noche, and Las huérfanas de la Obrapía.
