On January 25th, Mirtha performed a concert at Alfaro's to celebrate her birthday, which will be on January 28th.
Regarding the concert, in an interview given to Nuevo Herald, the singer expressed that Alfaro's is one of the most "charismatic" venues in Miami, which fits perfectly with the type of show she offers. "Its stage allows me to have the audience very close to me. And that makes me feel protected," she said.
Mirtha invited Samuel Calzado, Odel Iglesias, and Ernesto Galarde, alias Yolandita. The direction of the show was by Vladimir Márquez and the musical advice was from Ramón González.
The program, filled with representative songs from various stages of her career with a common element, "its great dramatic charge."
The list included Caricias, Quédate como nunca, La mitad de tu amor, by Amaury Pérez, and a selection of songs by the Diego sisters, such as Se me eriza la piel, Que hablen, and De mí nunca supiste nada. There was also Llévame a tu mundo, a song that Meme Solís composed especially for her inspired by Broadway musicals.
There were also premieres in her voice, among which stand out Mi verdad es la flor and Sueña cantando, by Katia Márquez, "an author who shows great promise," and her urban version of Muévete, a song by Los Van Van that was hugely popular in Cuba during the 1980s.
Mirtha, who doesn't want to think about retirement yet, tells her followers that she will reveal her exact age in 2035.
