Mijaín surpassed Pino in the German professional wrestling league

The triumph of classic Mijaín López over Oscar Pino (130 kg), with a scoreboard of 8-0, contributed on Saturday to the victory of the ASV Nendingen club over Germania Weigarten (18-14 points, 6-4 matches) in the German professional wrestling league.

In the first clash between Cubans of the current campaign, the triple Olympic champion and five-time world champion dominated without complications his compatriot, who achieved the world runner-up title in Nur Sultán, Kazakhstan, last September.

According to the official event website, the Pinar del Río native weighed 129.4 kilograms, compared to 125.3 for the Havana native. The match lasted the six regulatory minutes.

Mijaín was the only Cuban lined up with Nendingen on this occasion, as Yowlis Bonne, with a record of 2-2, was bye on the day.

On the losing side, three other gladiators from the Island took to the mat, with a record of two victories and one defeat.

Later, Greco-Roman wrestler Luis Orta (63 kg) crushed Romanian Valentín Lupu 18-0, in 2:55 minutes. And freestyle wrestler Alejandro Valdés (67 kg) defeated Moldovan Andrei Perpelita 4-0, fifth place in the European Games of this same year.

In the other match of the day, KSV Ispringen defeated Kav Eisleben 20-15.

With one day remaining (December 7) for the close of the group phase, Ispringen leads (8-2), ahead of Germania (6-4), Nendingen (4-6) and Eisleben (2-8).
