Cuban Miguel Ángel López appears among the top ten in several offensive departments of the Superliga volleyball league in Brazil, as a member of the Sada Cruzeiro club.
López, auxiliary attacker, has 68 points scored in just six games; he ranks fifth in attacks, with 60% effectiveness, and is eighth in points per set (3.78), which shows the progress he has experienced, after having previously played in the Argentine league.
Both he and other Cuban players, who are currently in various events in Europe, must contribute, upon their return, an increase in the quality of the national team, hopeful of initiating an effective Olympic cycle, after the Tokyo Games. (Sports Department)
