Mia Angelina Donadio Cancio, known publicly as Mia Dio, was crowned Miss Universe Cuba 2026 on August 20, 2026, during the pageant's final gala at the Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center in Cutler Bay, Florida. Representing Isla de la Juventud, she prevailed over five other regional finalists — from Pinar del Río, Havana, the Central Region, Mayabeque and Ciego de Ávila — and received her crown from outgoing titleholder Lina Luaces.

The 24-year-old Miami native, a graduate in International Relations from Florida International University, was competing for the second consecutive year. In 2025 she reached the top five finalists and won the competition's Miss Popularity award, recognizing the contestant with the most public support across the pageant's social media platforms, where she has built a following of more than a million people. Her return in 2026 came after she disclosed suffering a bout of facial paralysis in the lead-up to the previous year's final.

Dio has used her platform to speak about health and social issues affecting Cuban women, building a reputation as a content creator known for candor about her personal experiences. With the national crown secured, she will now represent Cuba at the 75th Miss Universe competition, set for November 24, 2026, at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where reigning titleholder Fátima Bosch of Mexico is expected to crown her successor.
