Cuban actress Mariela Garriga is going through one of the highest-profile moments of her career thanks to Zeta, a Prime Video production that has strengthened her presence in the international audiovisual circuit.
In an interview published on March 25, 2026 by ¡HOLA! Americas, Garriga spoke about the path that took her from Cuba to work settings in Italy, Spain, and the United States. The artist recalled that she emigrated at a very young age to support her family and that, before fully dedicating herself to acting, she worked as a dancer and model.
About her role in Zeta, she explained that the preparation included physical training, parkour, choreographed fights, weapons handling, and specific work to build a field agent. Garriga also highlighted the experience of sharing the cast with Mario Casas and valued the professional discipline of the team.
The interview also shows the weight that Cuba continues to have in her personal story. The actress said that part of her family remains on the island and that the idea of reuniting one day in the same country continues to be one of her most important desires.
With this new project, Mariela Garriga consolidates a stage of sustained growth and keeps open an increasingly broad conversation about the place of Cuban actresses in productions of global reach.
