"Punto Nemo", directed by Denis Rovira, is set at the coordinates of the ocean furthest from land and tells the story of how members of an oceanographic expedition aimed at investigating the plastic island are swept by a powerful storm to the so-called Punto Nemo.
During its six episodes, science fiction and action will blend together, while viewers will be able to reflect on all those inhospitable places that humanity is unaware of.
The synopsis of this upcoming premiere states that "members of an oceanographic expedition made up of scientists and the Spanish Navy embark on the ship Pentonkontors to investigate and raise awareness in the world about the problems of the plastic island located in the South Pacific".
On that journey, a powerful storm sweeps them to an island situated at the ends of the planet, "a place previously inhabited by Russian military personnel, which will test all their abilities and knowledge to survive and try to escape from the furthest point from any inhabited place on Earth: Punto Nemo. A place full of mysteries and lurking dangers".

Since she moved to Spain, María Isabel Díaz Lago has maintained an important trajectory in the Spanish audiovisual landscape, establishing herself as a versatile actress with great projection.
Her first work in the European country allowed her to forge a solid career that reached an inflection point with her role in "Volver", by Pedro Almodóvar, where she is recognized as the first Cuban "Almodóvar girl", as well as in the aforementioned series "Vis a vis", where she played Soledad Núñez Hurtado, characters that gave her notable visibility and recognition in cinema, television and streaming platforms in Spain.
