María Isabel Díaz Lago receives the artistic recognition "Valencia 2019, City of the Grail"

Surrounded by an audience, the actress of Cuban origin received the artistic recognition "Valencia 2019, City of the Grail" from the hands of Mrs. Esther Santillana Reinoso, responsible for the "see and feel culture" program of Centro Óptico Losan and manager of the award.

She was accompanied at this event by Marc Insanally, the soul of Café de las Horas, and Dr. Mafé, who has been promoting culture for more than 5 years from her platform ENCUVA, Encuentros Culturales en Valencia.

For those of us present at the event, it was a joy to discover that in addition to being a great professional of the performing arts, we were in the presence of a great person, María Isabel Díaz Lago.

"Valencia, city of the Grail" is an artistic recognition born from the need to value the feminine universe within the sphere of the Performing Arts, the world of Art and communication in general.

The presentation of the award began with words from Dr. Mafé, who introduced the international singer, musician, writer and composer Yaco Lara.

Who addressed the artist with these words:

Having the opportunity to thank you today for your presence among all of us means that those of us here admire your creative work and character interpretation on stages and on film sets. The "Sole" from "Vis a vis" will be part of that universe full of emotions that bears your incomparable personal stamp.

Later, José María Chiquillo and Bartolomé Nofuentes spoke, highlighting the importance of promoting initiatives of this cultural, artistic and noble caliber for the citizens within the city of Valencia.

Journalist Pepe Sancho highlighted the actress for her intuition in defining her protagonists, her hours dedicated to learning and perfecting her profession, her pace and cadence when speaking because all of this makes her "envelop us with your voice and your Light".

The theater critic, a man of theater and lover of the performing arts, don Alejandro Salvá highlighted the effort and perseverance that Mrs. María Isabel Díaz Lago has always demonstrated throughout her entire career.

Dr. Carolina Moreno explained that this award "was being given to the person" and not to the character played. Words that filled the artist with emotion as she began to cloud her eyes with so much affection received.

In addition to the award in the form of a grail made of "greda" (clay for firing, hence the name "gredal, greal or graal") by the workshop of artisan women "Per Amor a l'Art" and mounted on a pedestal by Orfebrería Piró, the actress received a good number of gifts from other people and companies collaborating with the event.

Dr. María Gómez presented her with a drawing made in ink depicting two hands in an attitude of touching "one Cuban, yours and the other Valencian, ours".

Don Vicente Navarro presented the actress with a bottle of One cava signed by the manager of the company Artesanos del Vino Valencia SL with 24k gold inside. With the following words:

We wish you all the success in the world in all your projects. And for that we want you to toast with this magnificent one.

The secretary of the Cultural Association El Camino del Santo Grial, don Jesús Gimeno Peris, presented her with the badge of the path and thanked the actress for her enthusiasm in receiving this international award born from the will to value women in the performing arts.

The celebration ended with a delivery of flowers and words from Mrs. Esther Santillana who told the actress "you will always have a little piece of Valencia in your heart".

María Isabel was emotional and very affectionate with all the attendees, taking photos and showing herself to be warm at all times.

Among those present we highlight the most international actress and singer of the moment Noelia Zanón, members of the Royal Academy of Valencian Culture such as Artur Ahuir i López and the writer and head of Aula Grial Alicia Palazón, the singer and vedette Mari Cruz, the writer Dolores García Ruíz and the manager of the restaurant "Bon Aire" Raúl Magraner Martínez known internationally for cooking "the best paella in the world".

The actress herself acknowledged feeling very comfortable from the moment she arrived in Valencia. She emotionally thanked all those present for receiving so much affection and said that "I put myself at your disposal" to make known all this wonderful event and the strength of the message behind it.
