While the music industry remains on pause to hold concerts, many artists are taking advantage of quarantine time to work on their upcoming projects.
To celebrate his 50 years, Manuel García is preparing the launch of a new album. And in recent hours he shared a preview that left several people speechless: a new version of "El viejo comunista" with one of his greatest idols and influences.
The national singer-songwriter shines alongside Silvio Rodríguez in the new installment of his classic. "If someone had told me that I had one moment of life left, and they gave me as a gift the chance to choose who I would have preferred to record a song with, everyone knows I would have said Silvio Rodríguez. And if they had asked me what song, naturally I would have said 'El viejo comunista'", he commented to La Tercera.
The song has received applause in its first hours on the Internet, where the level of artist that the Chilean was able to work with stands out.
