"What an exciting day!! Thank you so much for all the support to the entire cast of The Lion King, the musical. I love you!! I'm so grateful for all your support, strength, energy..!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The experience has been incredible," Manzanares wrote alongside an image where she is seen wearing 'Nala's' costume.

On the social network, the Cuban has also published several stories that announced her participation in the play a few weeks ago. In them she was shown playing the character of 'Sarabi', the mother of little 'Simba'.

This is not the Cuban singer's first participation in the musical scene in the European country. Earlier this year, the artist shared that she continued touring Spain as part of the cast of the musical "The Bodyguard", a production inspired by the 1992 film that united Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner on screen.

Previously, at the end of 2021, Manzanares had made her debut as an alternate singer in the role of Tina, the leading role of "Tina, the musical" which was in theaters in the Spanish capital, three years after its premiere in London.

In addition to her roles in these musicals, the Cuban singer has participated in other theatrical and musical productions such as "Piaf, Voice and Delirium", "Forever Young" and "Rent".

"The Lion King, the musical" is produced by Stage Entertainment and, according to their official website, is the largest musical production ever performed in Spain.

"Suitable for the whole family, it is a unique experience that captivates from beginning to end and that, just as more than 100 million people around the world have already done, must be experienced at least once in a lifetime. For its spectacularity, for its beauty, for the emotion it is capable of transmitting...", the producers describe this production.

In Madrid, almost 6 million spectators have already experienced this "result of the union of renowned musical and theatrical talents worldwide and the fusion of the most sophisticated disciplines of African, Western and Asian performing arts", the website added.

The 12th season of "The Lion King, the musical" will be on stage at the Madrid theater until September 3, 2023.
