Lucrecia floods Starlite with authentic Cuban son at the world premiere of 'Celia Cruz, El Musical'

Recently premiered at Starlite the show, Celia Cruz, El Musical, a project that, under the direction of actress and singer Lucrecia, takes a journey through the life of the Queen of Cuban son, Celia Cruz: "We want to bring Cuba to Starlite, to perform here, in a place surrounded by nature, it is Celia's freedom," commented the actress at the beginning.

The staging of Celia Cruz, El Musical is a "project that had been in the works for years to realize," now, and with a script by Gonzalo Rodríguez, it is a reality. For Lucrecia, "the involvement in the project, is the soul. Celia has always been adored in my family, and I have been fortunate to share the stage with her. This is a way to perpetuate her legacy."

And it is that this is the only biographical musical of the great artist that had the support of the actress's estate which, in addition to providing anecdotes, provided graphic material for the show, supporting the life stories that now characterize Lucrecia.

Always in first person, and always with personal stories that Celia herself tells her audience, how it all began, her trajectory, how she met her husband... It is a way of making the audience a part of an entire life of successes and personal and professional growth. To this are added the 26 songs that were full of the most Cuban son, salsa and its contagious positivity.

Life is a carnival, Quimbara or La Negra tiene tumbao were some of the hits that get the attendees dancing. The most moving moments go hand in hand with Guantanamera and Yo viviré.
