Cuban artists from the group Gente de Zona and singer Gloria Estefan nominated for the Billboard Latin Awards

Cuban artists from the group Gente de Zona and singer Gloria Estefan have been nominated for the Billboard Latin Awards, which will hold their ceremony on September 23rd at the Watsco Center of the University of Miami.

Gente de Zona received a nomination in the "Best Duo of the Year" category, while the great Gloria Estefan was selected as "Best Tropical Album" for her tribute to Brazilian music and her "Brasil 305".

"Cuba in the house of the @latinbillboards. Happy and very honored to announce that we are finalists for the second consecutive year at the @latinbillboards in the category 'Tropical Artist of the Year Group or Duo'. Thank you my people once again for making it possible", wrote on their Instagram, the members of the Cuban reggaeton duo, Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom.

For her part, Estefan shared on her Instagram stories, the congratulations from her husband, businessman Emilio Estefan. Gloria is these days immersed in promoting her animated film "Vivo", where she gives voice to the character of Marta Sandoval. As we have already told you, this film is a musical tribute to Cuba and for her it is of vital importance.

"Congratulations baby @gloriaestefan for this nomination at the #Billboards2021 awards for Tropical Album of the Year! #Brazil305. Congratulations to you and everyone who was part of this incredible Brazil 305 album", Emilio wrote to Gloria on social media.

This year, the Cuban-American singer learned that she was among the female artists with the most hits (Top 10) on the music list of the 100 best-selling singles in the United States, popularly known as the Billboard Hot 100. With three songs that reached Number 1 on the list and eleven that reached places in the top ten, the Cuban woman placed herself among the greats of American pop music.

This year's Billboards will be awarded based on the results of streaming, actual sales, radio broadcasts and social networks, as explained by the event organizers.
