Emilio Estefan, a world-renowned music, television, and film producer, recently celebrated his birthday with a cake gifted to him by Jennifer López.

Likewise, Estefan was accompanied by some of his loved ones and friends who, to the rhythm of Cuban conga, celebrated the birthday boy. Thus, in the company of Gloria his wife, his children Nayib and Emily, Lily Estefan and Raúl de Molina, among others, Emilio sang "Happy Birthday"

Cuban producer Emilio Estefan, winner of 19 Grammy Awards and co-founder of the musical group Miami Sound Machine, reached his 67th birthday last Wednesday, March 4th.

Facing such an important milestone, the outstanding musician decided to celebrate the day surrounded by family and friends at his restaurant "Estefan Kitchen" and with a "very Cuban" cake gifted by Jennifer Lopez.

To the rhythm of conga and in the company of Gloria, his children Nayib and Emily, Lily Estefan and Raúl de Molina, among others, Emilio sang "Happy Birthday" and blew out the candles on the cake. A work of modern pastry art, decorated with bongos, Cuban landscapes, dominoes tiles and cigars.

"Thank you to my dear 'JLo' for this detail! I loved my cake! We love you," the producer wrote later, as a thank you message to the "Diva of the Bronx" for the gesture.

Emilio, born in Santiago de Cuba, emigrated with his family in 1968 to Miami, United States, after first spending some time in Spain. Back then, he shared a tiny apartment with fifteen family members. He also made a living running errands for his neighbors.

After multiple jobs, he formed a group called "Miami Latin Boys". The group was successful and began to receive contracts to play at private parties in South Florida. At one of those events, Emilio met Gloria —then with the last name Fajardo—, whom he offered to join the group, renamed as "Miami Sound Machine".

By the early eighties, the group had already become a band of international importance. The songs "Get On Your Feet" and "Conga" reached number one on several charts.

On the other hand, Gloria Estefan's success as a solo artist had an impact on Emilio, who soon became known as a producer of Latin American artists. This is how he worked on albums by renowned singers such as: Thalía, Shakira, Charlie Zaa, Ricky Martin, Natalia Jiménez, Carlos Vives, Cristian Castro and "JLo" herself.
