The audiovisual A Small Cut, starring Cuban actress Camila Arteche, is now available on the renowned HBO Max platform.

"We are celebrating that a fiction short film in which I participated some time ago is available on HBO Max," Arteche said on social media when sharing the news.

She also highlighted that "very few projects reach digital platforms like this one, so for the work team it represents a success."

Additionally, she congratulated everyone involved in the making of this short film, which has a duration of 14 minutes and was directed by Mariana Serrano.

"Aside from what Elizabeth de la Caridad did (her daughter in the audiovisual), from her angelic face and her mom's bad temper, this video comes with a lot of joy," added Arteche, who is also an associate producer of the short film.

In A Small Cut, Camila Arteche plays Ana, a Cuban-American woman with a strong character who is guided by social norms, which she wants to impose on her daughter Elizabeth (Lucía Malagón). The six-year-old girl, after cutting her hair at school, has to face Ana.

The audiovisual received the award for Best Short Film of the Year at the FilmGate Festival in Miami last December.

In June 2022, Camila Arteche received the Best Performance award at the Hollywood North Film Awards for her lead role in the short film Boxer.

The presenter and actress graduated from the National School of Arts (ENA) and has worked in film, radio, and television. She was a member of the theatrical groups El Público, by Carlos Díaz, and Jazz Vilá Projects, by Jazz Vilá.

Her first professional work was in the Cuban telenovela Here We Are. She has participated in films such as Sergio and Sergei and The Companion. For her performance in The Companion, she received the award from the Association of Entertainment Critics of New York in the best supporting actress category.
