Liván Moinelo earns sixth win for SoftBank over Rakuten, lowers ERA to 0.76

Cuban left-hander Liván Moinelo led the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks to a 4-0 win over the Rakuten Golden Eagles on September 26, 2026, at Mizuho PayPay Dome, according to the Cuban News Agency and Momento Deportivo RD. The pitcher from Pinar del Río worked six innings, allowing one hit, four walks and two strikeouts on 93 pitches, to earn his sixth win of the season.

Moinelo improved to 6-1 in seven starts and lowered his ERA to 0.76 over 47.1 innings, with 22 hits, 11 walks and 34 strikeouts. SoftBank backed him with three home runs, including Kensuke Kondo’s 29th, and stretched its winning streak to four games.

Born in San Juan y Martínez, Moinelo has built his entire professional career in Japan. He was Pacific League MVP in 2025 and has posted strong outings since returning from a shoulder injury that sidelined him for nearly three months earlier in 2026.
