Cuban singer and songwriter Liuba María Hevia premiered today on digital platforms the video of a new version of the song Ya se va aquella edad, as a duet with its author, Pablo Milanés.
In the audiovisual, lasting more than three minutes, the interpreters are accompanied by pianist Miguel Núñez, arranger, producer and musical director of Milanés's group.
Ya se va aquella edad a dos voces is included on Hevia's album Vidas paralelas 2B, a project by the artist composed of four albums, in which she shares songs of her own authorship and those of several of her colleagues with excellent Cuban and foreign artists.
The original song was released as part of Milanés's album Comienzo y final de una verde mañana (1984), and was part of the soundtrack of the television series Algo más que soñar, considered a landmark of television in the island.
With more than three decades of artistic career and at least a dozen albums for adults and children, Hevia has won important awards and recognition, and has taken her music to various parts of the world.
For his part, Milanés, founder of the Nueva Trova along with Silvio Rodríguez and Noel Nicola, has recorded more than 40 solo albums, and was the recipient of an Honorary Grammy awarded by the Latin Recording Academy in the United States.
