Very soon Proyecto Palomas, an Audiovisual Production House for Social Activism, will give the opportunity to enjoy its most recent release: Mi cuerpo es mi vida. A documentary in which Lizette Vila and Ingrid León promote the denunciation and subsequent reparation of different types of violent manifestations, to which 18 men and women have been exposed.
However, on this occasion, on October 29th at 9:00 a.m. the presentation to the national and international press will be held online through the YouTube channel Cine Cubano ICAIC, through the Facebook portals Cubacine ICAIC and Proyecto Palomas, the WhatsApp group Mi cuerpo es mi vida and the Telegram channels of Cubacine ICAIC and Proyecto Palomas. Production House.
That same day it will be possible to access a panel composed of specialists of recognized humanistic professionalism, who will express their perceptions of the body in Cuban realities.
In this way, through the WhatsApp group it will be possible to exchange with Dr. Lucia Raysa Menéndez, Dr. Julio César González Pagés, Msc. Aracely Rodríguez Malagón, Msc. Carla Vitantonio, Msc. Yohanka Valdés and Eng. Ernesto Fernández.
With Mi cuerpo es mi vida, Palomas addresses a wide variety of topics, among them human, racial and sexual diversity, health and diseases, prostitution, impunity, obstetric violence and abortion.
According to the synopsis of this documentary, it includes "the testimonies of people survivors of various discriminations who claim the body as the first territory, the first private and public space, granting the ownership of the body its indispensable autonomy."
