Leoni Torres earns third Latin Grammy nod for «Cualquiera Se Enamora»

Cuban singer Leoni Torres is back in the Latin Grammy race: the Latin Recording Academy nominated his album Cualquiera Se Enamora for Best Traditional Tropical Album, according to the official list released September 16, 2026. It is his third nomination in that same category, after earlier bids for Alma Cubana and Canten.

In Traditional Tropical, Torres shares the field with Omara Portuondo (Eternamente Omara), trumpeter Dayhan Díaz (Algo Nuevo De Ayer), Los Tri-O and Gilberto Santa Rosa. Coverage by outlets such as 14ymedio underscored the strong Cuban presence in the category after the nominees were announced.

Torres, born in Camagüey in 1977, built his career through La Charanga Habanera before establishing himself as a solo artist in Cuban popular song and salsa with international reach. The 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards take place November 12, 2026 in Las Vegas.
